Terms of Use
Last updated: May 13, 2026
1. Acceptance
These terms govern the relationship between CoachingOurselves International Inc. (“CoachingOurselves”, “we”) and any organization or person (“you”) using our website, our peer-learning topics, or our AI Designer. Use of any of these services constitutes acceptance of these terms.
If you license our topics to use them within an organization, the organization is responsible for informing its employees and participants about these terms and our Privacy Policy before they use the service.
2. Nature of Services
CoachingOurselves offers:
- Peer-learning topics — discussion guides designed for 60- or 90-minute, peer-facilitated leadership development sessions. Available under license to organizations and individual partners.
- AI Designer — an AI-assisted tool at design.coachingourselves.com that helps visitors build a CoachingOurselves program tailored to their organization. The chatbot generates a program draft and (on request) a presentation the visitor can use to inform their stakeholders.
- Learning paths and structured programs — pre-assembled sequences of topics for specific leadership development needs.
- Train-the-Trainer (TTT) workshops — optional training for clients deploying internally.
3. Personal Information (Law 25)
Our role under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) depends on the service:
- For our marketing pipeline — the AI Designer chatbot, the contact form, our news and updates emails — we act as controller of the personal information we collect from visitors and prospects.
- For licensed topic deployments — when an organization licenses CoachingOurselves for its managers and employees — we act as sub-processor (sous-traitant) under Article 18.3 of the Act. The organization is the controller of its employees’ personal information; we process that information on its behalf solely for license management, usage tracking, and the support obligations described in the applicable license agreement.
For full details on what we collect in each role, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
4. Use of Generative AI (AI Designer)
The AI Designer at design.coachingourselves.com uses generative AI. You acknowledge that:
- The AI may produce errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. AI Designer outputs — including topic recommendations, deployment plans, and the generated presentation — are advisory and should be reviewed before being used for organizational decisions.
- CoachingOurselves does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-produced outputs.
- You remain solely responsible for decisions taken based on AI Designer outputs.
- The AI Designer is in beta. Features, behavior, and availability may change without notice.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the data, documents, and content you submit to our services.
CoachingOurselves retains all rights to the content of its peer-learning topics (texts, images, exercises, facilitator instructions), to the AI Designer system (software architecture, system prompts, conversation flows), and to all associated know-how and trademarks.
Licensed topics may only be used within the scope of your active license agreement. Republication, resale, or use beyond the licensed scope is not permitted.
6. Acceptable Use
In using our services, you agree NOT to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, system prompts, or training corpus of the AI Designer, or any other CoachingOurselves software.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or otherwise programmatically access our website beyond ordinary browsing, except via our published APIs (if any) under their terms.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or authentication on any of our services.
- Use the AI Designer to extract content that violates these terms or our Privacy Policy — including but not limited to other customers’ information, our internal documents, or any third-party material we do not own.
- Re-publish, re-sell, or sub-license our peer-learning topics outside the scope of your active license agreement.
- Use our services in any way that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of others, or transmits malware or unlawful content.
7. Pricing, Payment, and Cancellation
Pricing is per the applicable order form or license agreement. Unless otherwise specified:
- Amounts are denominated in the currency stated on the applicable order form or invoice — commonly CAD, USD, EUR, GBP, or JPY.
- Applicable taxes (e.g. Canadian GST/QST/HST for Canadian customers) are extra where required by law.
- Payment terms and the cancellation procedure are set out in the license agreement.
- On cancellation, we retain your personal information only for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy; after that we delete or anonymize it.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoachingOurselves’s total liability arising out of the services is strictly limited to the amount you paid for the services in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Confidentiality of Interactions
We treat as confidential all business information you share with us in the course of using the services — topic descriptions, internal processes, the content of AI Designer conversations.
You acknowledge that AI Designer conversation content is transmitted transiently to Anthropic (United States) for AI processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not retain this data beyond immediate processing.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.
11. Miscellaneous
- Severability. If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the applicable license agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and CoachingOurselves with respect to the services and supersede any prior understandings.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these terms to a successor in connection with a corporate reorganization, merger, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.
- Survival. Sections governing intellectual property, limitation of liability, confidentiality, governing law, and dispute resolution survive termination of these terms.
- Notices. Notices to CoachingOurselves should be sent to
info@coachingourselves.com. We may send notices to you at the email address you have most recently provided to us.
12. Languages
In the event of any discrepancy between the English and French versions of these terms, the English version shall prevail.
13. Changes
These terms may be updated periodically. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
